Virtual Fourth R Instructor Led Training

Virtual Fourth R combines the benefits of both customised instructor led and classroom based training with the convenience of a virtual learning environment. Virtual Fourth R allows people to learn in real time so it’s both interactive and participative. The key difference is that participants and trainer are not in the same physical location.

The benefits to you:

  • Live interaction with experienced and qualified instructors

  • Dedicated online environment enables interactive exercises so delegates learn by doing

  • Participation from the comfort of your own home or office

  • Platform independent - delivery on PC and Mac – just need internet access

  • Elimination of travel costs, accommodation and business downtime

  • Free "After Support"

  • Additional discounts

How does it work?

Typically sessions involve participants logging on to a Fourth R computer where the trainer is able to interact with them directly. The required visuals are viewed by both parties for the session. A physical manual is provide to the client prior to establishing a session. There will also be an audio facility provided by a separate audio bridge such as a telephone conference facility.

Microsoft Office 2016 - Excel (Part 1)

This month we take a look at three tips and tricks that you can use with Excel.

Tip 1 - New Charts

To enhance visualisations for data analysis, Excel has provided us with six new chart types including Hierarchy, Treemap, Sunburst, Histogram, Pareto and Box and Whisker.

Tip 2 - Get and transform (Query)

Before analysis can begin, you must be able to bring in the data relevant to the business question you are trying to answer. Excel 2016 now comes with built-in functionality that brings ease and speed to getting and transforming your data—allowing you to find and bring all the data you need into one place. These new capabilities, previously only available as a separate add-in called Power Query, can be found natively within Excel. Access them from the Get & Transform group on the Data tab.

Tip 3 - PivotTable enhancements

A number of enhancements including Automatic Relationship Detection (discovers and creates relationships among the tables used for your workbook’s data model, so you don’t have to), PivotChart drill-down buttons, Search in the PivotTable (field list helps you get to the fields that are important to you across your entire data set) and Smart Rename (gives you the ability to rename tables and columns in your workbook’s data model) have been added.
