Virtual Fourth R Instructor Led Training

Virtual Fourth R combines the benefits of both customised instructor led and classroom based training with the convenience of a virtual learning environment. Virtual Fourth R allows people to learn in real time so it’s both interactive and participative. The key difference is that participants and trainer are not in the same physical location.

The benefits to you:

  • Live interaction with experienced and qualified instructors

  • Dedicated online environment enables interactive exercises so delegates learn by doing

  • Participation from the comfort of your own home or office

  • Platform independent - delivery on PC and Mac – just need internet access

  • Elimination of travel costs, accommodation and business downtime

  • Free "After Support"

  • Additional discounts

How does it work?

Typically sessions involve participants logging on to a Fourth R computer where the trainer is able to interact with them directly. The required visuals are viewed by both parties for the session. A physical manual is provide to the client prior to establishing a session. There will also be an audio facility provided by a separate audio bridge such as a telephone conference facility.

If you are interested in learning more about Virtual Fourth R please email or call the Fourth R on 1300 368 784

Adobe - Illustrator (Part 2)

This month we take a look at another three tips and tricks that you can use with Adobe Illustrator.

Tip 1 - Align objects to an anchor object or to a grid

If there’s one item in the layout that you want everything else to align with, here’s a neat trick:

Step 1: Select all the objects that you want to align

Step 2: Then click on the object that you want to use as the anchor object. When you click that object, you should see the selection border become a little beefier – now it’s the anchor object.

Step 3: Then, when you click on the appropriate Align Object icon, all of the selected objects will align with that anchor object.

Tip 2 - Alt + Star Tool

It bothers me that five-pointed stars drawn using the Star Tool look slightly overstuffed. What if I want a traditional one? Fix this by holding the option (or alt) key as you draw the star for that classic 5-pointed star look.

Tip 3 - The Appearances Panel

A lot of programs typically allow only one fill and stroke to a shape. The Appearances palette allows you to add many fills and strokes to a shape.
